April 25, 2023: PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Butte County Air Quality Management District (District) Governing Board is holding Public Hearings by Zoom as part of our regularly scheduled Governing Board meetings to consider adoption of the District’s 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget.

The proposed Budget is available at https://bcaqmd.org/governing-board/budget/ and on file at the District Office, 629 Entler Avenue, Suite 15 – Chico, CA, and is available for public inspection commencing Tuesday April 25, 2023.

The time and date of the Public Hearing set for adoption of the proposed Budget is Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Butte County Association of Governments Board Room, 326 Huss Drive Suite 100, Chico, CA.

All written comments should be filed with the District’s Board Clerk, 629 Entler Avenue, Suite 15 – Chico, CA, no later than June 13, 2023.

The District will hold public workshops on Tuesday May 2nd at 2 pm at the District office and at 5:30 pm via Zoom (Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85126411175?pwd=UXp4K3dqZWVtZ0NyTkVEYllCNkpqdz09).

In addition to the Thursday, June 22, 2023, Public Hearing to adopt the proposed Budget, the District Governing Board is holding a special Public Hearing, to review the Budget and provide an opportunity for public comment on the proposed Budget. The time and date of this special Public Hearing is set for Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Butte County Association of Governments Board Room, 326 Huss Drive Suite 100, Chico CA.

Following the Thursday, June 22, 2023, Public Hearing and without further notice, the District Governing Board may adopt the Final District Budget for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year as the Board deems appropriate or take other action consistent with this notice.

March 28, 2023: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Butte County Air Quality Management District (DISTRICT) Governing Board will hold a public hearing to consider amendments to proposed Rule 500—Stationary Source Permit Fees. A new fee for Retail Gas Dispensing Facilities (GDFs) is being proposed in response to the cost recovery deficit of the stationary source permit program for GDFs. The amendments to Rule 500 propose to authorize a new emissions-based, Throughput Fee for Retail GDFs with annual throughputs of 30,000 gallons or more.

Public Hearing to Consider Adoption:  Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., Butte County Association of Governments, 326 Huss Drive, Suite 100, Chico, CA and via Zoom.
