September 15, 2022:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Butte County Air Quality Management District (DISTRICT) Governing Board will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of proposed Rule 270—Asbestos Demolition and Renovation and Rule 516—Asbestos Demolition and Renovation Fees. The purpose of Rule 270 is to limit the emissions of asbestos to the atmosphere and require appropriate work practice standards and waste disposal procedures as required by the federal Asbestos National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (Asbestos NESHAP) and corresponding state Asbestos NESHAP Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM). The purpose of Rule 516 is to establish fees to cover the estimated reasonable costs of review, inspection, and monitoring related to the implementation of District Rule 270. The time, date, and location of the public workshop and hearing are given below:

– Public Workshop: Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10 A.M., Butte County Air Quality Management District, 629 Entler Ave, Suite #15, Chico, CA and via Zoom.

– Public Hearing to Consider Adoption: Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Butte County Association of Governments, 326 Huss Ln, Suite 100, Chico CA, and via Zoom.

August 22, 2022:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Butte County Air Quality Management District (DISTRICT) Governing Board will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of proposed amended Rule 230—Architectural Coatings to adopt The California Air Resources Board’s Suggested Control Measures from 2007, 2019, and 2020 that aim to regulate an advancement in technology over the past twenty years and reduce emissions to attain heath-based air quality standards.

The time, date, and location of the public workshop and hearing are given below:

  • Public Workshop: Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 10 A.M., Butte County Air Quality Management District, 629 Entler Ave, Suite 15, Chico, CA, and via Zoom.
  • Public Hearing to Consider Adoption: Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Butte County Association of Governments, 326 Huss Ln, Suite 100, Chico CA, and via zoom
