September 1, 2021: The Air Pollution Control Officer (APCO) of the Butte County Air Quality Management District (District) is proposing to issue a Title V Operating Permit to Ameresco Butte County, LLC. The facility operates a landfill gas to energy plant at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility at 1023 Neal Road, Paradise, CA. The proposed Title V Operating Permit does not revise any existing emissions limits, recordkeeping requirements, or other applicable requirements to which the facility is currently subject. Copies of the proposed Title V Operating Permit and the evaluation, including a statement of the legal basis for the proposed permit conditions, can be reviewed here or reviewed at the District office at 629 Entler Drive, Suite 15, Chico, CA 95928.
This notice begins a 30-day comment period. Interested persons may submit written comments or a written request for a public hearing for the APCO to receive oral comments on the proposed Title V Operating Permit renewal to the address above. August 24, 2021: The Governing Board of the Butte County Air Quality Management District (District) will hold a Public Hearing on September 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Butte County Association of Governments Board Room, 326 Huss Drive, Suite 100, Chico, CA to consider the Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Information and Assessment Act of 1987 annual report of program activities. The annual report includes a summary of health risk assessments and identifies and assesses toxic air emissions from facilities within the District.
